The Predictive In Silico Medicine Lab (PRISM Lab) at The University of Texas at Austin, led by Erica L. Schwarz, is recruiting graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduate researchers. We welcome applicants interested in combining mechanics, biology, and computation to improve cardiovascular medicine.
Explore our research projects and publications to learn about our work in computational biomechanics, cardiovascular modeling, and scientific machine learning.
Applicants with backgrounds in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or related fields should apply through the Oden Institute’s Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (CSEM) graduate program.
Follow the CSEM application instructions and indicate Erica Schwarz as a potential research advisor. After applying, you are welcome to email Erica with your CV and a short research statement explaining how your interests connect witht the PRISM Lab.
Current UT Austin graduate students interested in joining or collaborating with PRISM Lab are encouraged to email Erica Schwarz. Please include your CV and a brief research statement describing your current program, research experience, and interests in the lab’s work.
The PRISM Lab is recruiting postdoctoral researchers. Please email Erica Schwarz with your CV and a research statement describing your research interests, relevant expertise, and how your expertise aligns with the lab’s goals.
Prospective postdoctoral researchers are also encouraged to apply for the Oden Institute’s Peter O’Donnell Jr. Postdoc Fellowship. If you are interested in working with Erica, list her name on your application and mention in your email whether you have applied for the fellowship.
We welcome undergraduate students interested in computational medicine, biomechanics, or scientific machine learning. To inquire about research opportunities, please email Erica Schwarz with your CV and a research statement describing your interests, relevant experience, and what you hope to learn in the PRISM Lab.
